Internationally renowned pianist Christina Petrowska-Quilico performs the evergreen dazzling concerto for piano and orchestra by the Norwegian composer Edward Grieg. Rossini’s sparkling Overture to Cinderella’s timeless story illuminates the stage for one of the most beloved cornerstones of the repertoire, Tchaikovsky’s virtuosic Violin Concerto, performed to a great acclaim by Crystal Ye. Prokofiev’s effervescent Symphony No. 1 and Bizet’s teasing “L’amour est un oiseau rebelle”, sung by soprano Helena Holl, complete a romantic evening of passion and love.
