Biography

Marie-Andrée Gray

Marie-Andrée Gray was born and raised in Montreal where she started her musical training playing the piano at the age of 5 and taking up the violin at the age of 10. She has received a bachelor degree in violin performance from the McGill University and she spent her summers in Kingston as a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada serving as Concert Master under Maestro Akiyama. Marie-Andrée has worked as a violinist with several of Canada’s major orchestras including L’Orchestre Metropolitain, Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra London Canada, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Windsor Symphony, Victoria Symphony, Vancouver Island Symphony, and the Regina Symphony. Currently Principal Violinist of the Kindred Spirits Orchestra, Marie-Andrée Gray also mainains a private violin studio and freelances as a chamber musician.
